We are very proud to announce that H2O International SA is sponsoring the Water Conservation Award at the Eco-Logic Awards 2015/16
The Eco-Logic Awards enable and assist consumers to participate in caring for the Earth through the conscious use of consumer spending power. They encourage and enable the consumer to look for and purchase products and services that have been produced with most care for and least damage to the Earth and its eco-systems.
These Awards initiated by the Enviropaedia and judged by a panel of highly respected, environmentally aware individuals, investigate a range of products, services and organisations with a view to recognising and rewarding those that have been produced in an eco-logical manner.
With South Africa in the midst of a crippling drought, conserving water is more important than ever. Making every drop count is the mission of the Eco-Logic Water Conservation Award finalists. The finalists in the Water Conservation Award category this year include the City of Cape Town – Water Conservation Section, DWS/Eco-Schools Water Project – WESSA, Enviro-Loo, Woolworths Water Stewardship Initiative and the WWF-Mondi Wetlands Programme
Everyone at H2O passionately supports the right of all South Africans to have access to clean, pure water but believe drinking water from plastic bottles does far more harm than good. Plastic can take up to 1000 years to degrade and by 2050 it is estimated there will be more plastic in the sea than fish.
As part of our water conservation drive, we’d like to urge everyone to make the right choice for the environment and their health – move away from drinking bottled water and instead drink purified water straight from your tap where it will cost you as little as 8c per 500mls.
H2O International SA wishes all the finalists in the Water Conservation Award category the very best this year and congratulates them on the wonderful conservation work they are doing for the South African people and our environment.
