BWT Sports Report – Taking To The Jeddah Corniche Circuit For A Bittersweet Race

The BWT Alpine F1 Team drivers shared some exciting wheel to wheel action at the Saudi Arabian GP.

Esteban was able to finish 6th and brought home valuable points for the team. Fernando unfortunately had to retire early after a technical issue. With 16 points in the Championship, the team now ranks 4th. We now look forward to the next race in Melbourne, Australia.

Fernando Alonso: “We don’t know what happened yet but we’ll investigate the issue. We did lose a chunk of points, but it’s good to see the car performing well on Raceday and all weekend. I think we deserved sixth place today and we were having a good race, so it’s bad luck we couldn’t get to the end.”

Esteban Ocon: “It’s some good points scored again for us and I’m happy overall with my race. The fight with Fernando was enjoyable. It was hard, fair, wheel to wheel racing, which reminded me of the karting days. With these cars, you can really race and follow, which is good for the sport.”
