Description
Basic Information
Reverse osmosis (RO) is the most effective technology used in the purification of drinking water. It reduces 99.8% of impurities, as well as odours, flavours, and viruses making water clear, clean, tasty, and better for human health and consumption, for both adults and children. The main element of the filter is the reverse osmosis membrane.
The advantages of reverse osmosis
- Considered to be the most effective and low-cost method of domestic water purification
- Most advanced water treatment technology widely available
- The Ecosoft Standard’s RO membrane has a capacity of 7.9 l/h
- Purified water does not require boiling and is completely safe for small children
- With a reverse osmosis filter, you can enjoy pure and tasty water every day at an affordable price
Best suited for
- The Ecosoft Standard reverse osmosis filter is best suited for a family of 3 people. The filter makes water safe and also protects your household appliances from the limescale buildup.
Filtration stages
In the purification process, the water passes through 5 stages as seen below.
Stage one
- Removes large (more than 5 microns) particles of mechanical impurities (silt, sand, rust, scale).
- Replacement filter media – polypropylene fiber.
Stage two
- Neutralises chlorine, organic and organochlorine compounds (pesticides, dioxides, etc.). As a result, the taste, colour and odour of the water is improved.
Replacement filter media – granulated activated carbon produced by Calgon Carbon (USA).
Stage three
- Fine cleaning of mechanical impurities larger than 1 micron.
- Replacement filter media – polypropylene fiber.
Stage four
- Reverse osmosis. The pre-cleaned water is passed through the RO membrane at high pressure. Purified water is fed to the next stage of filtration. Pollution and wastewater that has not passed through the membrane is discharged into the sewage system.
Stage five
- Post-carbon filter. Absorbs the gases dissolved in water and gives the water a pleasant, natural taste.
- Replacement filter media – activated carbon from coconut shell.
BPA FREE. Ecosoft reverse osmosis filters are made from primary food-grade materials (polypropylene). In the production of these plastics, bisphenol is not used, and their composition is in accordance with the EU Directive “Items used for contact with food”.

Beulah Rossouw –
In this day and age , to find good customer service, is like looking for a needle in a haystack. But Tony was the proverbial needle that I found on a Sunday afternoon 🙂 As we were leaving the next morning early on holiday and urgently neede the 5 phase reverse osmosis system to take with us.All the H20 shops malls that were open did not have stock.Out of desperation I left a message on their website. Low and behold someone responded….Tony.He was willing to meet us Monday morning very early before they actually open .
What a breath of fresh air!
I will write a review on the quality of the water after we installed the system. I am sure it will be great.
Thanks Tony, we much appreciate your effort.
