Over the years, we have seen the amount of plastic waste multiplying, threatening our fragile ecosystems. With this in mind, we have launched the “Change the World – sip by sip” initiative. We are appealing to make a change every day, sip by sip.

H2O | BWT aims to deliver the best quality water from every tap in South Africa.
We want to ensure our Planet Blue remains livable for future generations. 1.2 million plastic bottles are generated worldwide per minute, and we must take responsibility for our globe! Sustainability, social obligation, eco-conscious and using limited resources are essential components of our ethos.
With the mission “Change the World – sip by sip,” our Bottle Free Zone principles, and our innovative water filter technologies, we are getting closer to this goal every day – sip by sip.
CREATE YOUR BOTTLE FREE ZONES
Our initiative aims to eliminate single-use bottles and therefore lessen plastic waste. The Bottle Free Zone vision is simple, sustainable and eco-friendly. It can be executed at home, work, restaurants, hotels, and outdoors.
Because BWT has made it its mission to make water better. Thanks to our innovative, patented technologies, your tap water can be filtered, treated, and enriched with beneficial minerals and trace elements such as magnesium, zinc, or silicate. This means that safe, great-tasting water comes straight from your tap.
And we are acting in the interests of our environment because there is no need to buy disposable plastic bottles. In addition, we are going against the unnecessary transport of water bottles around the world and the associated CO2 emissions.
B.WATERMISSION
H2O | BWT is committed to helping people in need. For us, social responsibility is an integral part of our corporate culture. That is why for every BWT bottle free zone, we support people in Africa who have no access to clean, safe water.
As a part of the b.waterMISSION initiative, a total of 10 000 wells are being constructed in Africa and surrounding areas to give people access to safe drinking water.
Bottle free zones are changing not only the environment but people's lives too - sip by sip.
FULL SPEED FOR BOTTLE FREE ZONES
H2O | BWT is also developing more and more pink highlights in sport. The latest addition is the Formula 1 team Alpine F1. Together, we aim for a long-term partnership.
From now on, the Formula 1 team, Alpine F1, will use the unique BWT PINK branding to carry the collective mission “Change the World – sip by sip” and the associated social responsibility outside the racetracks into the globe. Bottle Free Zones rather than disposable plastic bottles throughout the paddock are just the first steps to be pursued by numerous committed actions.
We are joining forces to persuade people around the globe, our employees, partners, clients, and fans, to reduce plastic waste and to work together to resolve the unfair distribution of clean, safe drinking water. This is the declared goal of the BWT Alpine F1 Team.
