How’s that for a quick and easy thing to do to #BeAChangeMaker!

Access to clean and safe water is a fundamental right that every individual deserves. However, despite its importance, approximately 2 billion people worldwide lack access to this basic necessity. This year’s World Water Day is focused on accelerating efforts to make a change to the water and sanitation crisis. Given the essential nature of water to human life, it is imperative that every individual takes an interest in this cause and contributes towards effecting positive change.

World Water Day, on March 22nd, is an annual event recognised by the United Nations to:
- accelerate the pace of change needed to address the water and sanitation crisis that is currently affecting millions of people worldwide,
- raise awareness about responsible usage and protection of water as a precious resource,
- and highlight the need for clean water and sustainable management of water resources worldwide.
